E-40 Crowned King of Hip-Hop for Hiphy
May 5, 2006
Wild 94.9 FM (a San Francisco Bay-Area hip-hop radio station) has crowned E-40 the new king of hip-hop at their recent Bomb 21 concert for his origination of the hiphy style.
For those that ain’t in the know, hiphy is the Northern Californian way of saying “crunk“. They are claiming that the hiphy style on E-40’s “Ghetto Report Card” album is the next big thing in rap music.
Performers at the event also included Bubba Sparxxx, Ne-Yo, Bow-Wow, Dem Franchize Boyz and Federation, who helped popularize the hiphy style.
Peep this video of E-40 gettin’ punked! I apologize in advance for making you watch a video with Ashton Kutcher in it.
