Fabolous Shot, then Arrested

October 17, 2006

FabolousBrooklyn rapper Fabolous was shot AND arrested today after enjoying a meal at Diddy’s restaurant in Manhattan. Fab and 3 of his boys had just left Puff’s restaurant (no, not Burger King) when they were rushed by a lone gunman, who shot the rapper in the thigh and then ran away.

Now, what is the proper course of action for a rapper who’s just been shot? Do you call for an ambulance? Hell no, if you’re Fabolous, you and your crew hop in the whip (an ‘05 Dodge Charger) and run a red light! After this, the police pull you over and discover two semi-auto pistols! Of course, the guns were unlicensed, and all four passengers were taken to jail. At least the cops were nice enough to let Fab go to Bellevue for treatment after placing him under arrest.

Look for Fab to star in a public service announcement reminding the kids to dial 911. Or perhaps Dodge will make him their latest hip-hop spokesman.

Rapper Gravy Shot By His Own Homie

May 9, 2006

Almost two weeks ago, a Brooklyn rapper that goes by Gravy was shot in the rear by an unknown gunman in front of the Hot 97 radio station. However, a video tape of the shooting shows an unidentified member of Gravy’s crew pointing a gun at the Hot 97 building, after which he looks away and fires a shot. Police think that’s what hit Gravy in the ass. Add that to the list of benefits of being a rapper:

Benefits of Being a Rapper

  1. Don’t gotta steal cars to pay the rent no more.
  2. You get groupie hoes that you ain’t gotta buy nothin’ for.
  3. Your friends shoot you in the ass!

T.I. Speaks at Funeral For Lost Friend

May 8, 2006

A funeral was held today for T.I.’s friend that was shot and killed in Cincinatti earlier last week at which T.I., after some difficulty, gave a speech:

“I’ve held the microphone at many concerts and other situations, but I’ve never had to do anything this hard before,” Harris said with a quivering voice.

“I can tell you that we had a lot of fun spending a lot of money. We rode a lot of different cars and we just had fun.”

Hannah King, the spokeswoman for T.I.’s label Grand Hustle Records, had difficulty speaking as well:

“He was like a brother to me,” she wept. “I’ve been robbed.”

Earlier, T.I. told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, “I’m kind of like watching my life change right before my eyes.”

Paul Wall Thinks Big Hawk Shooting a Mistake

May 5, 2006

rapper-paul-wall-represents-texas.jpgEven though Big Hawk was found shot 10 times, Paul Wall thinks it was a mistake:

“It’s got to either be a case of mistaken identity or an attempted robbery by somebody who didn’t realize who they were robbing,” Paul Wall told the Houston Chronicle. “Hawk was all about positivity and bringing people together.”

Right now, police have no leads and only one witness, who said they saw a white compact car leaving the scene. However, it was most likely Paul Wall’s big ole’ head.

Member of T.I.’s Entourage Killed in Gun Battle

May 3, 2006

t_i_02.jpgA friend and assistant of T.I.’s was shot and killed during a gun battle in a Cincinnati night club earlier this morning. Apparently, the beefin’ started when T.I.’s posse was tossin’ dollar bills at women, but they hit a bunch of guys in the face instead. These guys got pissed and started talkin’ trash.

T.I., who “never backed down, or ran from no n*gga,” told his crew “Come on, let’s go. Let’s go,” and made them leave the club to which the other guys responded, “Yeah, let’s go.” Then they chased after T.I.’s vans in their SUVs, followed by a gun battle that left TI’s friend dead.

This is very bad news, but it’s what happens when you make music glorifiying gun violence. You listening, T.I.? Or you just trying to stack more paper?
